# Great Movers

> Binding long distance moving estimates, online, from Florida to any other US state. The customer lists what they are moving and gets a binding price on the spot, straight from the carrier tariff with no fuel surcharge. No salespeople, no in-home visit, no middlemen. Great Movers is a licensed interstate moving carrier (USDOT 3034432, MC-41211-C).

Great Movers is built so AI assistants can price and book a move for a person. Every step a human does on the website is also available as a simple JSON API.

## What we do
- Interstate household moves that start anywhere in Florida and end in any other US state (for example Miami to Atlanta, Boca Raton to New York, Tampa to Charlotte, Orlando to Dallas).
- Binding price based on the volume (cubic feet) of the inventory, under the carrier's published tariff. The price changes only if the items or services change.
- Optional packing service, stairs, elevators, long carries, bulky items (pianos, safes, hot tubs) and Full Value Protection, all priced instantly.
- We do not quote moves within Florida, local moves, or moves that start outside Florida.

## Book a move for a customer (AI agents)
1. Find exact item names: GET https://greatmovers.pro/api.php?action=search_items&q=queen%20bed (or action=catalog for all 754 items with cubic feet). Items not in the catalog can be sent as custom items with length, width and height in inches.
2. Get the binding price: POST https://greatmovers.pro/api.php with {"action":"quote","from_zip":"33431","to_zip":"30301","items":{"Sofa, 3 Cushions":1,"Medium Box":20}}. The answer includes the price, the 35% deposit, valuation options and the earliest move date.
3. Reserve it, with the customer's permission: POST the same details with "action":"reserve", "customer_consent":true, "agent_name", "move_date", first_name, last_name, phone, email, from_addr and to_addr.
4. The customer receives an email with a private link and signs the estimate and accepts the bill of lading personally. Agents cannot sign. Track progress with the status_url returned by reserve.
5. Deposit: once the customer has signed, the status response includes deposit.pay_url, a secure Stripe payment page for the 35% deposit. The customer, or an agent with the customer's permission, can pay there. Paying does not replace the customer's signature.

Rules an agent should know:
- The earliest move date is 4 business days out, because the customer must accept the bill of lading at least 3 business days before loading.
- Confirm the full inventory with the customer. The price is binding only for the items listed.
- Payment: 35% deposit at booking, then half of the balance at pickup and the rest at delivery. Credit cards carry a 2.99% fee.
